On rare occasion, Beth and I were both gone on Sunday. This left many wondering, “What’s going on with Kade and Beth?”
I wish I could tell you that we were on vacation. But, far from it.
Two months ago, we found out we were pregnant with #6. Considering #5 was only four months old at the time, we were overwhelmed and overjoyed at the same time.
A few weeks ago, we went in for the first ultrasound. Just like the previous five, we were expecting to confirm a healthy pregnancy and hear the precious heartbeat.
Only this time, there was nothing. No heartbeat. No baby. Just an empty embryonic sac.
Sometimes this happens because the pregnancy is still too early to see everything on the ultrasound. So we left hoping that the news would be different in a few weeks.
Then, this past Saturday, Beth had a miscarriage and ended up in the hospital. The bleeding was so severe they had to perform an emergency procedure to save her life.
Thankfully, it was a quick outpatient procedure, and we were home within a few hours. But recovering from severe blood loss is no joke.
The past several days have been tough. It’s going to be a journey for Beth to regain strength. But day by day, she is getting there.
We missed you on Sunday and can’t wait to be back. Thank you for your prayers and support. And know this, we will come back stronger and with a testimony to share.
Let’s make a difference,
Kade
