2 Cor 9:6-13 NLT - Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.
When assessing yourself to determine your level of obedience, your primary indicator is your level of generosity.
Generosity, or a lack thereof, is the telltale.
This past Monday, I went online to order some street tacos. I was shocked at how much they cost. Even more shocking was when the app demanded a tip.
There was no easy option to select no tip. You had to tap “custom amount” and then enter 0.
For whatever reason, I had an attitude that day. I thought, “They are not getting a tip for over-priced tacos that I am going to pick up. They should tip me for getting out of my house.”
All the way there, I could sense the Lord kind of frowning at my attitude. He didn’t say anything. It was just one of the vibes that your best friend will give you when you are being ridiculous.
The next day, I went to get tacos for lunch somewhere else. Now, many of you are judging me for how many tacos I eat, but you can just keep your opinion to yourself.
As I approached the register, the Lord reminded me of what happened the previous day and simply said, “Does that represent me?”
Say no more, Lord. I willingly tapped the highest tip amount on the screen, and the cashier smiled and gave me the most genuine thank you.
My generosity proved to her my obedience to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
This is one of the many reasons I am not ashamed to give you the opportunity to be generous every Sunday. It’s good for you to be presented with opportunities.
I’m asking for a generous tip today. I’m not pressuring you. You decide in your heart how much to give, even if it is 0. But know this. Generosity will always come back to you multiplied. God set it up that way so you can continually grow in your generosity.
To give by cash or check, use one of the offering envelopes in front of you. Drop the envelope in the giving box on your way out today.

Several months ago, we gave $35,000 to a ministry in Argentina rescuing women from human trafficking. They used it to expand their building. As a way to dedicate the building to us, they painted our core scripture on the wall: Ephesians 3:20.
You were a part of this through your giving. If you could only see what your giving accomplishes for the Kingdom of God, you’d be blown away.
One day, you will meet every soul that was saved through the work of NoLimits Church and you will be so thankful you gave so generously to this ministry.
This is good ground. When you sow seed here, get ready for a great harvest.
You are going to be shocked at what happens in 2025. We are in a season of sharp, sudden increase. The things we’ve been prophesying about are coming to fruition.
Prepare yourself to increase in generosity. It’s time to open up the flow of wealth needed to accomplish what God has set before us. It will flow through the hands of the generous. That’s you!
