This is the year of explosive multiplication for the obedient. As we continue to do things God’s way, we will experience sharp, sudden increase spiritually and financially.
This church that seems so small right now will be mighty by the end of this year. Don’t get distracted or discouraged by what you see because this place will look entirely different in a matter of months.
Are you ready to leap forward in your faith, stepping out in great boldness to heal all who are oppressed by the devil? This is the year you take that leap.
Are you ready to see explosive multiplication in your bank account to fully fund the outreaches, businesses, and other things the Lord has put on your heart? This is your year.
As we stand on the verge of the new, prosperous land we are about to enter, I hear a strong warning from the Lord echoing in my Spirit:
“Don’t forget where it came from.”
For it is the Lord who has given us the power to get wealth. Without the Lord, none of this would be possible. Never forget that every good thing in your life comes from God and God alone.
King Uzziah serves as our example to never forget where the explosive multiplication comes from. Turn with me to 2 Chronicles chapter 26.
2 Chronicles 26:3-5 NLT - Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother was Jecoliah from Jerusalem. He did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, just as his father, Amaziah, had done. Uzziah sought God during the days of Zechariah, who taught him to fear God. And as long as the king sought guidance from the Lord, God gave him success.
2 Chronicles 26:14-21 NLT - Uzziah provided the entire army with shields, spears, helmets, coats of mail, bows, and sling stones. And he built structures on the walls of Jerusalem, designed by experts to protect those who shot arrows and hurled large stones from the towers and the corners of the wall. His fame spread far and wide, for the Lord gave him marvelous help, and he became very powerful. But when he had become powerful, he also became proud, which led to his downfall. He sinned against the Lord his God by entering the sanctuary of the Lord’s Temple and personally burning incense on the incense altar. Azariah the high priest went in after him with eighty other priests of the Lord, all brave men. They confronted King Uzziah and said, “It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord. That is the work of the priests alone, the descendants of Aaron who are set apart for this work. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have sinned. The Lord God will not honor you for this!”
Uzziah, who was holding an incense burner, became furious. But as he was standing there raging at the priests before the incense altar in the Lord’s Temple, leprosy suddenly broke out on his forehead. When Azariah the high priest and all the other priests saw the leprosy, they rushed him out. And the king himself was eager to get out because the Lord had struck him. So King Uzziah had leprosy until the day he died. He lived in isolation in a separate house, for he was excluded from the Temple of the Lord. His son Jotham was put in charge of the royal palace, and he governed the people of the land.
Make no mistake. When you obey the Lord and do things His way, greatness is the result. He prospers you, gives you influence, and makes your name famous.
That is where we are headed. We will become the leading force in Owasso. No other organization will have the influence we do.
But as that influence comes and our resources increase greatly, we must heed the warning of the Lord, “Don’t forget where it came from! It wasn’t you! It was God’s power working through you.”
Will you commit to reminding me of this? Will you position yourself as a safeguard in my life? All I need you to do is remind me where it came from.
We need to do this for each other. Any time we hear someone becoming prideful about the success they are experiencing, be bold in reminding them where it came from.
Our story will not end like King Uzziah, and I know this to be true. Because when the Lord told me that we would become the leading force in Owasso and that no other organization would have the influence we do, He also said that we will steward the influence well. It will be marked by righteousness.
Lord, we thank you for making us the righteousness of God in Christ. It is your power working in us that makes us great, and we will boldly put Your greatness on full display.
Thank you for explosive multiplication. We are your storehouse, and we are ready to use Your enormous resources to fund every good work.
We open our hands to receive from the One who supplies seed to the sower, and we keep our hands open as we give generously and plant seed liberally for an explosive harvest. In Jesus name, amen.
